The NRVCS Prevention Services Team will offer a new cycle of the popular Strengthening Families Program (SFP), beginning in February at Pulaski Elementary School. The program, which is free, is open to any interested families with children who are ages 6 – 11.
SFP will be offered on Monday evenings from 6 – 8 p.m. at Pulaski Elementary School (2004 Morehead Lane, Pulaski), starting February 2 and continuing weekly through May 11.
Each week, SFP classes feature sessions for parents, youth, and families. The goal is to help families increase family communication skills, prevent problem behaviors and improve their overall relationship with their children. Participants are also treated to a free meal each week, along with weekly prizes and incentives for attendance and participation.
Again, the program is free but pre-registration is required. To learn more or to register, please email Leslie Beasley at lbeasley@nrvcs.org or call her at 540-961-8356.
