Chris Taylor has served as the Executive Director at NRVCS since March 3, 2025.
Mr. Taylor is a veteran employee of NRVCS with 19 years of experience working in various capacities at the agency. He previously served as the agency’s Senior Director of Human Resources.
Taylor, originally from Chesapeake, Virginia, has called Southwest Virginia home since 1999. He moved to the area to attend Virginia Tech, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology in 2002. He then went on to earn a Master’s degree in Social Work from Radford University in 2005.
A Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2008, Taylor also received his SHRM-CP certification in 2022 and holds a certification as a Sex Offender Treatment Provider. He began his career at Montgomery County Department of Social Services, where he worked for three years before joining the NRVCS team in 2006 as an outpatient clinician. Over the years, Taylor has gained extensive experience by working in three out of the four units at NRVCS.
In 2022, Taylor was named the agency’s Senior Director of Human Resources, a position he held until his recent promotion to Executive Director.
