Peer Support Services is a person centered, strength-based, and recovery oriented rehabilitative service. Peers are individuals who have been successful in the recovery process with lived experience with mental health, substance use disorders, or co-occurring disorders. Peers are trained to offer support and assistance in helping others in the recovery process to reduce the disabling effects of a mental health, substance use disorder, or co-occurring disorders that are the focus of support.
