On-demand transportation for individuals in recovery

Are you, or someone you know in substance use recovery and need assistance with transportation?

In collaboration with the NRV Recovery Ecosystem, NRVCS’ Community Transit program is providing on-demand transportation to support New River Valley residents in their recovery from substance use disorder.

To see if you qualify for this service, please call the New River Valley Agency on Aging at 1-855-489-4583. Once you are determined as qualified, you’ll be registered through the Community Transit on-demand system to request rides through our mobile app. (Instructions for downloading the app are provided below.)

Trips supported under this initiative can be for medical, recovery programs, work, shopping, or social activities. The service is available Mondays through Fridays from
8:30 AM – 10:00 PM daily.
